LEONTXO GARCÍA OLASAGASTI

Leontxo García Olasagasti (Irún, Guipúzcoa, 12 De Febrero De 1956) Es Un Conferenciante, Presentador,Comentarista Y Periodista Español Especializado En Ajedrez. Leontxo García Llegó Al Ajedrez Relativamente Tarde: Aprendió A Jugar En El Colegio, Cuando Tenía 13 Años, Pero No Fue Hasta Los Diecisiete Que Comenzó A Jugar En Serio.en 1975, Con 19 Años De Edad, Se Convirtió En Campeón Absoluto De Guipúzcoa Y Seis Años Más Tarde, En 1981, Consiguió El Título De Maestro Fide. Más Tarde Logró Dos Normas De Maestro Internacional Y Todo Apuntaba En Que Se Consagraría A Jugar Ajedrez Cuando Recibió La Propuesta, En 1983, Del Diario Deia De Ser Enviado Especial En Los Duelos Kaspárov-Korchnói Y Smyslov-Ribli (Londres). Fue Entonces Cuando Descubrió Que Su Vocación Por El Periodismo Era Aún Más Fuerte Quela De Jugador Y Poco Después Dejó De Participar En Competiciones De Ajedrez.
